Begin With Gratitude

I want to talk a minute about gratitude. It's an easy enough word to understand but sometimes a hard concept to internalize. As Thanksgiving approaches, you'll hear all about it and unfortunately because Christmas is close behind, you'll also hear a lot about all the stuff you could be grateful for. Don't get me wrong, I'm incredibly thankful for my home providing a roof over my head and my vehicle getting me places I need to go (read- work LOL) in comfort, but so much of what we are truly grateful for has no ad and you can't buy it for Christmas. The gratitude I have for simply being alive, the life that I've created with my husband, my family, my yoga practice, goes so much deeper than any of that. It comes from my toes and spills out my eyes. The joy that results is something I can't even put into words. And I'm grateful to you, the reader. The yoga practitioner, my student, my friend, my family. Your dedication to yourself and your practice allows me to be here. Your love and support have allowed me to put my nose to the grindstone and manifest this website from an idea into reality. And you've allowed my practice and my teaching to grow in leaps and bounds from where it first began. My deepest wish is that your practice brings you joy and that somehow, I have had a small part in that journey. Namaste.
